Jasper's doing his best to worry us - fine at 5pm yesterday, scrimmaging for food with the others, but at 7.30 he was reluctant to move, as if he'd suddenly developed arthritis. He didn't want to be picked up and cudded , which is very unusual for him.

But by 5.00 this morning he got up and stretched when I went to stroke him, moving without difficulty, so he appears to be on the mend.

In other news, someone left a mouse on the kitchen floor this morning, so I caught it and released it into the garden. This should give it a fighting chance at least...

All six in for tea, and all eating happily. Jasper didn't scrum as heartily as usual, but h did finish off Patchy's leftovers.
