The Rayburn is a No 1 stove, so pre-1958, and probably the later model. The difference was in the grate, which has vanished when the conversion to oil-burning was done, but there's a hole in the front which was probably for the remote control riddling mechanism.
It's still burning, but seems to be getting cooler. I suspect either the wicks or dirty oil, so I've bought a new wick set from a chap on Ebay, and a narrow brush set from the tool stall on the market. This should enable me to clean the troughs in the burner properly, if it's dirty oil that's the problem.
