We've now been in Oak Ridge for nearly a week, on our usual Thanksgiving visit.
We came out on Wednesday (14th) via Houston, and confirmed that business class is the only way to fly transatlantic. If only we could afford to do it more often... (we were using up our stored miles this time).
On Friday, being somewhat recovered, we left for a short trip, first to Scott and
jane_dennis in Lexington KY and then on to stay with Steve and Sue Francis in Louisville.
Saturday featured the annual pilgrimage to Vince Staten's BBQ outside Louisville, though we only bought two bottles of BBQ sauce this year. And thence to a BBQ in Illinois at Steve and Sue's daughter's place. Featuring venison (steak, bratwurst and chili). All locally caught by the family, two of them by bow-and-arrow and shot by the 12-year-old daughter of the household.
Mmmmm. Stuffed.
Home on the Sunday via Nashville and Marcia's pal JoAnn, with more food...
Since then, relaxing, shopping for Thanksgiving, and probing the local housing market...
