A Ray of Sunshine

Well, a couple of things as a change from bills and cats doing expensive things (Duchess needed dental work and Oscar got into another fight).

First is that the Escort has been losing coolant water this week, so it went into the garage for investigation while I looked through Autotrader. It turns out that a cable had chafed a hose, which was leaking and the car should be otherwise OK. One bullet dodged...

The other was from last night's Red Sox - Orioles game: it's not often you get the annotation "Player X flied into double play". Grounded, yes, but not flied. Video is available at http://www.redsox.com (can't find a reliable direct link) and the reality is even better - Manny Ramirez (not the world's best left fielder) made a grab on the warning track, bounced up the padded wall and high-fived a fan, and threw the ball back into the infield. Where Dustin Pedroia caught it and relayed it to first, where Audrey Huff was not yet back, having been sure the ball would fall for a hit...
