Several Things...

We're into the main round of cat checkups, with Princess and Duchess getting done first. Princess had a sniffle, and Duchess needed dental work, so that was $520 well spent :-( They had a further checkup the other day, and both have gained serious weight back, which is Good. Dr Rick took the opportunity of having Duchess sedated to do Xrays, which shows she has an enlarged liver with calcifications, which is roughly what we thought.

Marcia is off work with severe anaemia, so will be getting iron infusions over the next couple of weeks - more over at her own LJ (mkillingworth).

Sitel's mills continue to grind, and yesterday spat out an invitation to interview on Wednesday, with a possible start date of May 10th - just as well I won't be in Chicago then.

Meanwhile, bread is baking, and the Red Sox season is underway...

ETA. Taxes. Taxes are done. H&R Block agreed that my UK Govt pension is not taxable in the USA (as long as I'm not a US citizen) so we're in line for a refund of $950 rather than a bill of $6k+. Coming next - property taxes (about $930). Easy come, easy go...
