The new toy was today's big spend - I replaced my old Samsung flip-phone with a new HTC Thunderbolt. Since I currently do tech support for HTC, there isn't much of a learning curve to worry about...

There's still some, however - my loaner Evo Shift is only a few months old, but a lot of new menu options have appeared. I think I want more rivets on the steampunk options, though.

In Other News, we had a full house of grandchildren last week - all six, including the two new ones. Kelly and his second wife, Amanda were visiting from Canada, so Jessie (his first wife) came up from Middle Tennessee with their eldest (Alex, who lives in TN rather than Edmonton) and her other three children. That's modern families for you...

Kelly and Amanda went off to Florida on Friday with Alex and Kelly's other two, so Jessie and her three went to Pigeon Forge for a couple of days, and we joined them at Dollywood on Saturday. It was cold, so we only spent about 3 hours there, letting the children take a few rides and walking round the park. Since we anticipate visiting later in the year, when Marcia's old boss will be visiting from the UK, we bought ourselves season tickets. So now anyone visiting us is in danger of being dragged there. Plus we may wander over and explore the park sans children a few times - there's quite a lot worth looking at apart from the rides, like the bald eagle preserve. And the steam railway, with its ex-WP&Y Baldwin Mikados.
