of the network, that is.

Computers are named for the Muses, but I seem to have two other classes of device; Nooks and smartphones on the one hand, and storage devices (mostly USB hard drives) on the other.

What would people suggest as suitable naming schemes?

ETA: the three storage devices currently on the network are now Alexandria, Babylon and Ephesus. The determination of the name scheme is left as an exercise for the reader ;-)

External hard drives just get numbers. I have computers from three different naming schemes, authors of a paper (I still have Gamow), chemical elements, and semi-precious stones.
