Up early (well, 8am is early if, like us, you didn't go to bed until the Superbowl was over at about 3.10am) and into the vets for 11 am for Jasper to have his drains removed from the surgery. But the wound is still draining, so he's back in on Wednesday, and the catflap continues to be locked.
In practice, only a couple of the other cats have asked to go out, and their general reaction has been "But you didn't tell us it was cold out here! Turn the heating on now!". So they haven't stayed out long.

In other news, our cat Shadow has osteo-arthritis. But the silly sod persists in climbing trees and jumping down very heavily. So now has a bit of a limp, it was more pronounced but is getting better.
As you say, it ain't cheap.
