One step forward
Despite all the displacement activities I could think of, and despite the rain, I now have a working door lock & latch on the driver's door of the Escort.
Actually, I suspect that the lock and latch have come disconnected physically, but as the central locking is now working on all four doors, I don't think it matters.
Now back to important things, like reading Usenet and LJ as well as Cix, rather than writing a new book database...
