Apparently it's true
that once you've learned to ride a bicycle, you'll never lose the ability.
Yesterday I collected a pair of mountain bikes that I bought on Ebay (£12.50 the pair, plus a 40-mile round trip to pick them up) and today, after a bit of adjustment, I cycled down Main Street and back to the house.
Coming next: more air in the tyres...
