A Committee has been formed to look at doing a Parish Plan. We had our first meeting this evening - nine members, of whom seven were present. We needed to elect a Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer. Sue, who was hosting the meeting, volunteered for Secretary; it was agreed to approach Nadine to be Treasurer, since she does similar things for other village groups. Which left...

"It's Only A Committee. It's Not The Council. I Can Handle It..."

Actually, I didn't apply for the vacancy on the Parish Council earlier this year because the Council meets on the seond Monday, which is also the Cambridge Group pub night.

Which is more important - public duty or beer? Tough call...
