Marcia has a post here with most of the details.
Summary: Marcia's father has been in hospital for most of the last fortnight. He may be sent out soon (or not).
Unpacking continues, and odd things continue not to turn up, such as the cat bowls, the dish drainer, and a couple of end tables.
Marcia also has a job offer, working helpdesk, to start in early March.
We should be off to Chattacon some time this afternoon, once everything's stabilised.

... and since I had a friend/tenant packing some of my stuff while I've been up in Cambridge, for the next few years I will be forever wondering if "X" has been stolen, thrown away, eaten by aliens or is in a box so far undiscovered ... probably the latter :-) as I trust my friend (though she is more ruthless than me in decluttering so I'm very worried that some important paperwork will have been thrown, or the spring off the doohickey which means the whole contraption has to be discarded...)
