That Game...

Should never have left Arroyo in to start the seventh, since he'd thrown well over 100 pitches. What's the bullpen for, after all?

NASN had Sunday's Red Sox@Giants game on delay last night, so I watched bits of England-Croatia in the breaks between innings. Just can't take the stress any more, you know.

Well, until Thursday, anyway, when England play Portugal in the quarter-finals. Even then, NASN have Twins@Red Sox live from Fenway at 18:00 BST, so I'll probably watch that and skip the first half of the England game (19:45-20:30). Unless I'm fetching Jamin back from Six Mile Bottom or Marcia's in hospital or something.

Thinking of the Sox, is anyone else going to the Noreascon 4 trip to Fenway on the Wednesday before the con? I've bought two tickets, so if Marcia doesn't feel up to it I may have a spare.

Sorry to bring up painful history but unfortunately, the Red Sox seem in the past couple of years to have a habit of leaving their pitchers in just a wee bit too long.

As for Fenway and N4, I won't know until I get there on Tuesday how much work I have to do on Wednesday for Program Ops so if you can get a definite for the ticket then do so but if not, there's a chance I might be able to get away.

Nice thought but I'd just be thinking the whole time about the work I had left to do so it probably wouldn't be very restful. We need to open PP Reg on Thursday morning so all the packets for the PPs need to be done by Wednesday evening. If the stuff is ready to be sorted on Tuesday then Wednesday is largely free but if not...
