Marcia's running a slight temperature, so they're keeping her in the hospital another day or so. She's still in pain, but that's what you expect after an operation.

Today's grumble: I'm driving Marcia's car over to the hospital, because it's more comfortable for her to be a passenger in if they'd let her out. But today it developed a flat tyre while standing outside the ward.

So I worked out how the locking wheelnuts work, and changed it for the spare.

Which turned out to be flat itself...

So I called the AA, and the chap who came managed to put some air into the spare - enough at least to get to a tyre fitters. So: off to ATS in Huntingdon: two hour wait, at least. No thanks. Off to STS, who could do both tyres on the spot. For £154 and change. But to you, sir, £120. Done.

So Marcia has two new tyres on her car, and I have a £120 bill to go with the £380 I spent yesterday on the Fiesta. Overtime is good...

In other news, the Red Sox won the World Series 4-0 over the Cardinals. I didn't get up to watch the final innings, as it must have been about 4.00am here. I still have to catch up with yesterday's mail on the Sox list, and it's getting away from me...

Must arrange a cake for [livejournal.com profile] smofbabe...
