our big black-and-white cat, who had been diagnosed with heart trouble recently. He was OK in the morning when I left for work, but didn't show up for tea and his treat (with the heart medicine in it). When we looked for him, we found him collapsed in the garden, and he died on Marcia's lap on the way to the vet.

He was probably about 8 years old - we've known him since mid-1998, when he belonged to a neighbour in Chessington - and he was full-grown then. He moved in with us when we moved to Coveney in March 1999.

My condolences. I was thinking yesterday of the names:

JJ
Jade
Kitta
Mick
Toadie
and now Jamin--it's been a particularly bad year.

Could you put up a picture? Not only would I like to see him, but every now and then I hear of a group who prays for lost animals, and I'd like to send his picture along with the others' if that's OK with you.

Sorry to read about your loss. I don't know how pet owners do it: coping with loss but still choosing to provide a home for new companions.

Tell mom I am sorry to hear about Jammin. You gave him a pleasent home during his days, little more can a cat ask. Well maybe eating the bird as well but lets not get crazy.
