seem to be springing up all over here. On Wednesday, Marcia will become a UK citizen. On Friday, she's off to Peterborough to see the Passport Office for a fast-track passport. Sometime soon, she's over to Hinchinbrooke for another test - this time an MRI scan. And on Monday 16th, she should finally have a laparoscopy to investigate the problems round her bile duct.

It all looks a bit like progress, finally.

My appointments are simpler: I've got an offer to work Sundays for actual cash (well, transfer in the pay packet) for August and the first half of September. Other than that, it's just the usual village stuff, with the Parish Plan also on the 16th.

I'll be interested to hear what sorts of things you have to do if there's an actual ceremony: promise not to seduce UK citizens or bring down the government, perhaps? Well, one out of two...
And I hope everything goes well with the scan and the laparoscopy.
