We are in the Copley Place Marriott in 3418.

It turns out that the letters for Houston are MSP...

We were up at 0400, and out of the house at 0430 for an 0700 flight to Houston and on to Boston. As we're waiting to check in, word goes round that there's a 6 hour delay due to equipment problems. Tis might get us into Boston at 11pm if we're lucky. So, the nice young lady does some work, and the second shot comes up OK - routing on Northwest via Minneapolis to Boston, getting in an hour earlier than we would have on Continental. The flight is an hour later, and so we're first in line, and get exit rows all the way.

No food on either leg, but we had time for lunch at Chili's at MSP.

US Security broke into one of Marcia's bags at MSP, and didn't reseal it. We Are Not Happy. So far as we can tell, nothing is missing.

No NESN in the room, but Internet for $10/day.

Off to a bar for supper...

Last couple of times I've flown to the US, the policy as explained to us self-loading cargo was "do not lock your bags, TSA will break them open if you do, TSA are not liable for such damage or for loss." I carry all my valuables in hand baggage anyway (and, after one unfortunate experience, a fresh shirt and underwear lest I again find myself 1,000 miles from my suitcase).
