Marcia was in Cambridge Lea Hospital yesterday for a gastroscopy following on from last Tuesday's fiasco. The consultant was trying to determine what had been done to her stomach 18 years ago and how to tackle the current problem. So now he's going to talk to his favorite keyhole surgeon and see what she thinks. We have confidence in her: she apparently did my sister-in-law's gall bladder op a few years ago, so comes well recommended.

In other news, I have been exploring some of the droves round the village, and finding out how they hook up. It struck me when I got home that I'd been out walking for half-an-hour and had met no-one - it's nice to live in a quiet village. And no, this wasn't during the England game...
