Marcia spoke to the shippers today, trying to track down our container, and we have been told that it will be delivered here on Friday of next week (the 19th).
US Customs apparently want to charge us $140 for X-raying some bits, but nothing else.
The weight limit on our road is going to cost us some extra, as they will presumably have to transship everything into a van to get it to us. No word on whether they'll be reducing the delivery charges because of the decline in the price of fuel...
So Thursday the rental furniture goes back and we get to stay over at Marcia's parents in Oak Ridge. Quite when we confine the kittens I don't know; I suspect the weather forecast may well be having an impact on our final plans.
