Bah

Since we allegedly got broadband enabled on Christmas Eve, ntl have turned off our dial-up access. Except that we haven't got the ADSL modem yet, and I don't believe BT have actually enabled the line...

That nice Chris has lent us his dial-up details for connectivity.

Glad to see you're back on line and able to send rude messages to NTL until they get you sorted out and pay large amounts of compensation for all those ebay bargains M is going to miss out on.

Why do you think the line is not enabled yet? A dsl line and a normal phone line sound the same so it is hard to tell until you get your modem hooked up.

... they were told it would be 20 days from when they placed the order, and BT are not renowned for doing things two weeks earlier than predicted, particularly not in the week before Christmas when there are fewer workers around.
