I've just been watching the first Goodies DVD, and I'm pleased to report that they've left the adverts in (at least in the first two).

Off to watch "Kitten Kong" and "The Goodies and the Beanstalk" for the first time in probably 30 years...

You know there's a second one out now?
The commentary track on the 'South Africa' episode is particularly good.

PK gave me the Goodies DVD as a Valentine's present, and we're watching it in stages. I watched Eckythump last night ... it acquires a new level of humour now I'm married to a Lancastrian ... and the Lighthouse episode. We're both pleased with how well they've stood the passage of time. (Well, they still make me laugh.)

Me too. I've just bought the second DVD (bought the first on VHS) and think some of the publicity interviews they did to promote the second DVD should be made available as a bonus on the third, they still are very entertaining when they get together.
Which reminds me, now I can rip vinyl to MP3, I must see how many of their LPs have survived the last few moves...

I was given the 2nd DVD yesterday, and plan to watch at least a couple of episodes tonight. We are very much looking forward to the Movies episode, which we've been longing to see again.

Did you catch the two Radio 4 programmes about them recently. Still available on Listen Again, I think.

I bought Kitten Kong for Jack off eBay for Christmas. I remember it being really funny. I popped it in to play but it's been so long we've played a tape, that the VCR is broken. I am looking forward to seeing it again...
