We haven't seen Smokey since last Thursday evening. Some cat food we put out last night was apparently untouched at 5 o'clock this morning (yes, the cat flap was switched to "in only"). .
I do hope he's okay. It may be that he's been chased away by an unfamiliar dog and will return when he gets his bearings.
For what it's worth, when I was in my teens we were missing our ginger cat, Pepper, for nearly six weeks, until he leaped out of the hedge a mile from home when he saw his beloved friend, our GSD/Collie cross, Sandy.
