marcia arrived OK if somewhat late (due to a Presidential visit to Cleveland, apparently).

Her mother is much better all of a sudden - the disorientation has vanished as inexplicably as it came. I just hope that this continues...

Good news. What does Cleveland have to do with anything (apart from allegedly being the Hellmouth once Sunnydale was destroyed)?

Marcia was changing planes there. Knoxville isn't big enough to have transatlantic flights.

And not unprecedented - after trauma, different parts of the body can recover at different rates, including the brain.

(Either that, or the delay was nothing to do with a president, but was rather the scene shifters caught short and working like buggery to get it all set up right. Who do you know who'd have needed M delayed in order to get there first?)
