Sherry with the Bishop

is too good a headline to pass up.

We got our new Parish Priest installed this morning, and the Bishop of Huntingdon came over to do the honours. And then there were sherry and mince pies and fruit cake afterwards - all in all a very English morning.

And so to shopping, and then a Church social this evening, so Marcia will miss out on the Jaguars@Titans game this evening.

In other news, we had a new delivery of oil on Monday, and the Rayburn has now gone out. Fortunately, it's not the only heating in the house, but I'm more than ever determined to get a multi-fuel stove installed in the front room. Whether we can afford it or not...

Ah! I have relatives on both my mother and my father's side who knew the last Bishop of Huntingdon, but I think you've got a new one now.

You do seem to be doing a lot to that house.
