Falling into bathtubs *does* seem to be a rite of passage for kittens, though.

I'm assuming it *was* one of the kittens? Because it's a serious dignity failure for an adult cat.

A bubble bath is something that tricks a lot of kittens. Then, when they fall through the surface, claws go out instinctively, and let's face it, few of us are wearing anti-claw protection in the tub.

Is this why merkins seem to prefer showers?

Leo was very good. I happened to be sitting up, so he didn't land on me, and he just stood there before hopping out and complaining about his bamp legs. No claws at all.
