Over on a Red Sox mailing list, we have a contest each year to predict the Sox final won-loss record. I won it in 2002.
And in 2003.
And in 2004 (not that anyone noticed, except me).
Off by two games in 2005. Nobody won in 2006, due to their collapse in the second part of the season.
But it's back to form this year, despite a twitch as the Sox loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth yesterday. But they managed to hang on for a 3-2 loss for a 96-66 record, as I predicted back in March.
Obviously 2005 was just an aberration ;-)
