It's our choice in New Hampshire today.

No matter where you live, I urge you to take part in this important election.

Oh, that's brilliant!

I note that two of the three candidates have never been outside and have either bad or unknown responses to the cold. This is Mount Washington we're talking about! Three storm tracks converge there, and the weather is reportedly the worst in the country.

The Mount Washinton Observatory mascot really needs to at least have a chance of surviving the elements should it end up outdoors by accident or its own misplaced sense of adventure. As the Surviving Mount Washington (http://www.mountwashington.org/about/visitor/surviving.php) page points out:

-- The average year-round temperature is below freezing, at 26.5° F.
-- Winds average 35.3 miles per hour on an annual basis.
-- Fog frequently limits visibility to 100 feet or less.
-- The average annual precipitation is 86 inches, including 21 feet of snow!
-- The world's highest recorded surface wind speed, 231 miles per hour, occurred here.

All of which leaves me chanting: "Marty! Marty! He's our cat! Sarah and Wilson would just go splat!"

Indeed, I intend to vote Marty in the secret ballot :-) which opens in just over 30 minutes!

Damn. That's almost perfect, but for scansion, I think dropping "go" would make it perfect.

You've convinced me. I'm a Marty Man.
