Marked "Beware of the Leopard"

or Tiger in Oscar's case.

He was in a closed drawer in a chest-of-drawers in our bedroom. How he got there I don't know - the kittens used to be able to get there, but gave it up as they grew, and he's bigger than any of them are now.

I had of course checked all the open drawers...

Glad he turned up. He sounds like our old ginger tom Jonesie. He could get into the store under the divan through a gap you wouldn't believe possible. He was also the one who worked out how to open the wardrobe.

Of course he was!

I won my bet with myself, there. I've been totally unable to find a cat before now, even though she was in the house all the time.

(A really sneaky one is sitting on a chair pulled up to a table. Unless you explicitly check, you'll miss that one.)

Oh good!

I was thinking that he'd probably tucked himself away some place nice and cozy, and reminiscing about one cat I had who only exerted herself to climb into a particular dresser drawer when there was cashmere in it. Champagne tastes, that one!

Dear Panda & Minnie,

I have started retraining the staff. They went out without permission this afternoon so I retired to a convenient drawer and waited for the fuss to start. They go AWOL = I go AWOL . Even a human ought to work it out eventually.

Still no decent grub so thanks once again for the candied mice.

Also they're still calling me Oscar . Not sure it's me. What do you think babes ?

love
