As many people know, we're looking at moving to the US later this year or early next. Not that this is a wonderful time to be moving, but that isn't what drives this. So I need to prune my book collection back from its current 6000 or so volumes to something that can actually be shipped reasonably.

So when someone asked for any Tom Holt books, I thought "There are seven of these that I'm probably not going to miss; lets offer them." Anyway, the young lady has just been round, and I've actually managed to give some books away. I think a restorative drink will be called for later today...

And the delete routines in my database actually work.


In other news, Patchy has gone walkabout again. Last seen Thursday morning. At least this time I'm not quite so worried.

ETA: She came in late Saturday.

Do you think maybe Patchy is two-timing you with another family? I've heard of qats doing exactly that.

And speaking of the qats, what will you do when you move to the US?

!!!!!!!!! I've obviously missed some announcement. Sounds like not a totally voluntary move so hang in there and all that stuff.

(Proof of my odd existence is that my first thought was that we'll see you more often, and then thinking "No, wait, I'm in Australia now" and then thinking "But wait, that's true, I'll still be seeing them at the cons we still go to in the US")
