More steps forward...

A letter came from the US Embassy this morning - our Petition for Visa for Alien Relative (or whatever its real name is) has been Approved! Onward to the actual Application...

Also, we have a driveway again - the firm from whom we hired a skip have come and taken it away (rather full of all sorts of Stuff that we'd been hanging on to Just In Case).

Now to get Patchy a new collar, as she seems to have lost hers.

I am beginning to think that somewhere there's a massive but secret bunker full of cat collars. Both of our boys loose theirs with monotonous regularity.

Congratulations! Not sure what you're called at this point - when I first had to file US income tax from here, Stephen had to get a US taxpayer number as a "nonresident alien spouse." He wanted to know whether it came with antennae :->

They said that since I filed as married filing separately, Tim didn't need a taxpayer number. If we filed jointly, we would go over the magic exemption number.
