but what it pours. Jamin, our eldest English cat, is on the sick list too.

We've been thinking he was looking thinner these days, and Marcia heard him breathing rather hoarsely on Wednesday, so yesterday he was off to the vet. Without, apparently, much complaint - another bad sign.

So: general anaesthetic, X-rays, blood and urine analysis. Answer: he has an enlarged heart, probably a symptom of a generally weakening heart, and congestion in his lungs. All of which could be leading to congestive heart failure in time :-(

But the blood and urine work came out reasonably normal, which is good. Some further diagnostics will be needed, like an ECG and a scan (a cat CAT scan?), and then we can decide where we're going. Apart from spending more money: yesterday's bill was UKL 250, and the next steps are probably more. So much for any new windows this year...

How old is the poor moggy?

I take it that he seems relatively comfortable, otherwise, you would have taken him to the vet some time before?

Best to you all...

... my best wishes to you all ...

... if I'd realised the Strawberry Fayre was this weekend, I'd have rearranged things and been up your neck of the woods, but as it is I'm now booked tomorrow and Sunday so another year goes past and I still haven't been to an SF.
