I've found that the local council have a web page to report abandoned vehicles, so next door's Audi with the expired tax has now been shopped. We believe that they have in fact moved away this week and left it behind, so it is abandoned rather than just untaxed.

There was a quiz at the Village Hall tonight.

We now have a box of chocolates and a bottle of white wine, thanks to the help of Pete and Caroline who have recently moved into the village.
