I think if people wanted to go to the US for Easter, there are better established cons to go to. I think most people go to Eastercons to see their friends, and hosting it abroad will cut that number dramatically, partly for cost, partly time and partly because not everyone views the Eastercon as their 'holiday', with all the sightseeing that goes with it.
