I've been redoing my various internet accounts and trying to rationalise things. The Cix account (timill) will stay; the compuserve one will go - I don't seem to be able to log in any more(!); the demon account will probably go sometime this year.

So I'll wind up with:
Cix: for conferencing
NTL: for connectivity only - as staff, Marcia can get a deal, apparently
News.Individual.Net: for usenet
soho-uk: for domain, web and mail hosting.

I've got a number of domains:
bellhouse.org.uk: for mail addresses
timill.co.uk: for most web pages (£16 pa for hosting)
coveney.org.uk: for village stuff
smofs.org: for mailing lists, WSFS BM stuff, and actual mail accounts (£50 pa for hosting)
jomsb.org.uk: for fun

So far: all the individual bits are working. The lists are still at Demon on dialup, as is mail reception. I'm using both Demon and NIN for usenet.

Still to do: get the NTL: account and check that I can work it with KA9Q
Decide on a new mailer or approach Nikki Locke for a new registration code - the existing one is tied to smof.dcu
Move about 20 mailing lists subscriptions from demon to bellhouse.
Close down the surplus accounts, saving about £350 pa.
